Katie Leamon review -NYAC

Hey chicks!

I had heard of Katie Leamon but had never tried any of her products.  I must say I have been pleasantly surprised by her notebook.  I would go as far as to say that I am a fan!!

I stumbled upon this notebook at a bargain store.  I was excited to see the price but more surprised to see Katie Leamons name on the notebook.  I fell in love for two reasons.  The cover and the multiple styles of ruling combined in one notebook.

The cover is two-toned, diagonally divided with kraft paper and gold foil.  Gold is one of my favorite colors, next to red and purple.  When it comes to stationery, it is by far my favorite!  I swiped this notebook and flipped through the pages.  I was taken back when I saw there were three different page ruling styles in the notebook.  Immediately, I knew I would purchase regardless of the price.  I believe I paid $7.00 for it.  Well worth it.

I didn’t have a clue as to what I would use it for but I knew I had to have it simply for its design and variety of page options.  It includes lined, plain and grid ruled pages. ❤  The texture of the paper is a bit coarse, and I like it.  The notebook itself doesn’t lay flat when you open it but with a little pressure, it will.  I prefer the binding to allow books/notebooks lay flat when opened.

After I purchased the notebook I jumped online to her website, katieleamon.com, to learn more about her.

NYAC-Katie Leamon review

She is a London based designer who, with the help of family, launched her stationery line in 2011.  Her website offers something I am interested in called Post.  It is a monthly stationery subscription.  I have checked out a few others who offer stationery subscriptions and the reviews have derailed me from purchasing but I would/will do this subscription in the near future.  Many of the others will send a variety of brands whereas Katie will send her products.  I would love to do it for at least six months.  It is 26 pounds a month.  I am not sure what that is equivalent to in dollars but I will figure it out.

*26 pounds = $35

Have you purchased any Katie Leamon products?  Would you purchase her notebook based off of my review?

Interesting grid. What is that kind of paper for? Math? Interior design maybe?

    1. It is grid paper. I remember using it in geometry but many notebooks are being produced with it these days.

Ahhh. No wonder I don’t remember…. I usually slept through geometry after hanging out with Mary Jane.

I too like the variety in the pages. You can sketch on the plain pages, compose stories, lists and poems on the rules pages, and create cross stitch patterns on the grids. I would seriously consider this notebook at that price.

    1. It was a steal of a deal. I enjoy it. Right now it serves as my web book, storing account information and passwords. A secret book.
